The Strafford Board of Education would like to announce that Doug Fields will be the new High School Principal for the 2018-19 school year. We are confident that he will do a great job.
Mr. Fields received his Bachelor of Science in Education in 2002 from Missouri State University, his Masters of Science in Educational Administration in 2006 from Missouri State University and his Educational Specialist from Southwest Baptist University in 2010.
Mr. Fields began his teaching career here at the Strafford School District in 2002 where he taught History. Mr. Fields taught at Strafford for 12 years and during his tenure here, he coached basketball, golf, and baseball. In 2014, Mr. Fields was hired to be the High School principal at Fordland, the position he currently holds.
Mr. Fields has been an active member of the Southwest Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals for the four years he has been an Administrator. Mr. Fields has had the opportunity to speak at several conferences regarding technology integration in the classroom and personalized learning. These initiatives have help lead his school to being named one of the top 15 schools in the state of Missouri by US News and World Reports.
Mr. Fields, is married to his college sweetheart, Rebecca Fields, and they have four children. They have lived in the Strafford community for the past eight years, and all of their children attend Strafford schools. They are excited to return home and to work hard to continue the excellence that the Strafford School District is known for.
