Brett Soden Named 2018-19 Superintendent

The Strafford Board of Education would like to announce that Brett Soden will be the new superintendent for the 2018-19 school year.  We are confident that he will do a great job. 

Mr. Soden received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1991 from College of the Ozarks, his Masters of Science in Educational Administration in 2004 from Missouri State University and his Educational Specialist from Southwest Baptist University in 2010.

Mr. Soden began his teaching career at Dadeville School District in 1992 where he taught History and Physical Education.  Soden coached high school boys and girls basketball along with baseball.  In 1999, Mr. Soden went to Fair Grove High School as boys’ basketball coach and Physical Education teacher.  In 2006, Mr. Soden began his administrative career at Strafford as the High School Principal, the position he currently holds.

Mr. Soden has been an active member of the Southwest Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals for the twelve years he has been an Administrator.  He also served on the executive committee in all offices, and was the President for two terms.  He served at the state level on the MASSP Board of Directors.   Mr. Soden is currently active with MSHSSA serving on the board of directors as President.
