Strafford Middle School was proud to send fifteen students to the National History Day state competition held at MU in April. This year's theme was Conflict and Compromise in History. Strafford rocked at state this year. In the three categories we took part in, competing against twenty other groups in each category, we took 2nd and 7th place in Junior Group Website, 2nd place in Junior Group Performance, and 1st place in Junior Group Documentary. These students will now represent Strafford and the state of Missouri on the national level, where there will be 100 groups per category. They head to Washington D.C for the national competition June 9-13.
Congratulations to Dylan Bradley, Jaden Lohmeyer, and Shawna Stepp in Documentaries; Sydney Tune, Elliott Goings, Elizabeth Bowie, Jack Goans, and Clay Smith in Performance; and Jackson Jacobson, Dani Nunn, Amren King, and Ryker Venosdel in Website. Good luck at Nationals!
