The Strafford School District is focused on providing students with an exceptional learning experience. Although we believe that students learn best inside our classrooms in a seated setting, we understand that these are uncertain times and feel it's important to provide our families with learning options that best meet their individual needs. As a reminder, the deadline to sign-up students for LAUNCH is by 3:00pm on Friday, August 14. Information on this can be found on our school website.
Since releasing the overview of our Phase 1 Start Strong Safety Plan, our planning team of administrators and nurses have created a detailed handbook. You can view it here: HANDBOOK Strafford Strong Safety Plan Phase 1. Included in the handbook is also our three phased approach created to navigate our district through the upcoming school year. We want to emphasize that it is possible the district will see all of these phases throughout the school year. As we are all learning, the only constant during COVID-19 is that change will occur.
Due to the unpredictable nature of this pandemic we recommend securing backup childcare plans in case we are forced to quickly shift into a phase in which school would not be in session. As always, we will work to efficiently communicate with our families giving as much notice as possible.
